Memory Collage Blanket Review + GIVEAWAY!

     I don't know about you, but I love to give and receive a good quality photo gift. With the holidays coming up, especially Christmas, this is the perfect timing for this review and giveaway!

     Let's jump right in! First thing I want to say is that this photo collage blanket by collage.com is absolutely beautiful, so soft, and loved by everyone in the family.  The blanket was created with great color reproduction and the photos are crisp and clear, something I was a little worried about. However, it turned out great and I am thoroughly impressed. The quality truly exceeded my expectations.
     When you first visit collage.com they make the experience easy and fun! You can upload any pictures you would like and test them out on various collages and templates. They have so many different projects to choose from. I am so happy with the sherpa blanket, that we went with. It was fun experimenting with the different pictures, and honestly, the hardest part of the process was narrowing down which pictures to use. With the creative freedom that collage.com offers, the sky is truly the limit! They have projects such as blankets, canvases, photo books, and so much more. When you are choosing your layout you can choose to have the whole blanket be one picture or a layout with a lot of pictures. You can also add words or a quote to the blanket too, which is so fun for gifts!

     Once you have your layout just the way you'd like it, you can securely checkout and pick your shipping method. We received our blanket fairly quickly as well, which is so important around the holidays (ensuring you get your packages on time). Our blanket came wrapped up to help prevent any damages from the shipping process. Once we received our blanket it quickly became one of my families favorites. It ends up being moved from room to room and someone is always snuggled up in it. It really is SO soft! I love that BOTH sides of this blanket are equally soft, the size is perfect too. We went with the 50''x60''.

 I mean just look at our little man all snuggled up and fast asleep (pretty sure he approves :)

Adventure's with our Urbini Emi Travel System [A Review]

I have previously (up until I received this travel system) used an Urbini carseat/stroller.  They have a large line of different car seats and strollers for every lifestyle. You can check them all out on there website. Urbini is sold exclusively at Walmart stores and at Walmart's website (link to Urbini product page). I have decided that I want to take the kids on a walk every morning around the neighborhood. This stroller is great for this, because it is a awesome on the go stroller with tons of storage and plenty of room for your little one. This new and improved travel system is their best one yet. The many updated features are great. Improved features include the larger underneath storage compartment WITH an added zippered compartment.

 

The carseat and stroller both seam to be more sturdy and have several improvements. This stroller has a very unique look, which I would describe as sleek, urban, and trendy. I took my son (9 months old) for a walk in the stroller today and he loved it. There is ample room for his legs, and the straps were comfortable and secure. Not to mention the double snack and drink tray that attaches to the front handle bar. Another feature that I LOVE is the easy set up and take down of the stroller. When you're done, all you have to do is simply pull up on a handle (clearly marked) and voila, the stroller folds up with ease. This is nicer than previous strollers I have tried out. Some can be very confusing and difficult to fold up. 

You pull up on this flap  (the quick-lift system) and the stroller easily collapses into a manageable on the go stroller. Other features of the Urbini Emi Travel System:

-Carseat is easily adjusted for any size between 4-35lb baby with a height up to 32"

I set it up for Simon and he fits in it so much nicer that other car seats I have tried. This system comes with amstroller, car seat, AND the base.

-The stroller's handlebar is adjustable! How awesome is that. I am pretty average height but I have found that some strollers I find myself hunched over while pushing it, but not with the Urbini!

Overall, I would definitely recommend the Urbini Emi Travel System. I only have positive things to say about this stroller and car seat combo.  I would recommend this system for any mom who's on the go and looking for an easy store and go stroller, and a car seat that is easily adjusted and can be installed with ease.

I've had my Planet Fitness membership for a couple of months now, and being busy with the holiday's, and well, life I haven't been able to make it nearly as often as I would have liked. Time to get in shape with Planet Fitness $10 Membership Sale October 1-10!

    Alright, time to get back into shape. Kenzie and I used to work at a gym while we were in college and we would work out almost everyday after work. I loved how good it made me feel and staying in shape was ncie. Four years and two kids later, priorities have changed. BUT we are going to try out a new health club, and I am so excited! I was never in super good shape, but anyone who looks at a couple pictures can tell that I don't look the same as I did just a couple years and two kids ago. I understand commitment is a good thing, when talking about your health, but I get that things come up, we're busy doing our best to take care of our kids and faimilies, and well, you can't always make that commitment. Not being penalized, and charged for that, is nice. 

    Personally, I would love to get to the gym at least once a week and eventually work up to twice a week. That might not sound like a lot, but I'm trying to set realistic goals here :)

I'm excited to get back to working out and getting back in shape. I will keep you all updated on how it is going and maybe have a few more fitness type posts in the future.

Loving our #Urbini Touri Travel System! #MC #Sponsored

As a mom of an 18 month old and soon, a newborn, an absolute necessity is the best travel system. We've recently discovered the Urbini Touri Travel System sold at Walmart. This system comes with a lightweight, compact stroller and infant car seat. 

    The Urbini Touri baby stroller has been great for us. Once we got it, I had my husband assemble it, which was super fast and easy. Of course, like most men, he didn't use the instruction booklet ;) but didn't have any trouble setting it up. The stroller is lightweight, which is perfect, when I have about a million other things to carry. It is easy to unfold, however, I have to admit the second time I unfolded it I had forgotten how to do it. This was quite humorous actually. Picture this, Kenzie, Adeline, and myself were in the TJmax parking lot trying to remember how to open the stroller. Mind you, we are two very obviously pregnant women (pregnancy brain got the best of us!!) We had Addie in the open truck of the car, and I'm down on my knees pushing buttons and Kenzie is holding up the stroller, and watching Addie. Lol. Anyway, within a few minutes we figured out the obvious way to open the stroller. It was pretty funny. 

     The stroller is compact, which is nice, another feature I like is the height of the handle for whoever is pushing the stroller. I have found that some stroller handles are low and I feel like I'm hunching over, while pushing it. Not with the Urbini, it is the perfect height for me. Another plus of the stroller is the cup holder, however, I have had a few issues with it not staying in place, making me feel like my drink is going to fall out. The underneath basket is nice for carrying your purse or other small items while on the go. It's not huge, but because it is a compact stroller, that's to be expected. The seat also has a multi-position reclining feature which is great for times when baby gets tired and needs a little nap. It doesn't lay back totally flat, but it does recline enough to give a comfortable place to catch a few Z's. 

    I am loving the car seat part of the travel system, as well. It too, is light weight. The material is nice and I am excited we purchased the black version of the travel system. (It also comes in blue, red, pink, and green) I feel like it won't get as dirty, or at least won't be as visible :) Here is the "blue" version:

The carseat is great also, because the weight limit is up to 35lbs (4-35lbs), and up to 35'' tall. The car seat is easy to use/install. I haven't actually "used" the car seat, but practiced installing it for when our baby boy arrives. 

     My overall experience using the Urbini Touri Travel system was positive and I am excited to continue to use it consistently in our busy schedule and upcoming summer months! This system gives you the flexibility to travel comfortably with your baby and at a price of only 149, you get a GREAT deal. Here is a link to other reviews of this product, including my own.

This was a fun trip for Kenzie and I. The closest OshKosh B'gosh was about 2 hours away, but it was located with quite a few other outlet stores, so we were able to look and shop around. Plus, I thought it was totally worth it, because of all the great deals we found! I was able to get all 8 of these items, but another ADORABLE dress AND two other infant outfits!

Fun Scallop Painted Planter

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape brand painter’s tape for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey everyone! I know that Fall is upon us, and we've transitioned from making our patios and yards look nice to making our homes comfy & cozy. That doesn't stop me from a fun outdoor project! I decided to add a bit of pizazz to an otherwise bland white planter.
Here is what I used for this project:
-medium sized white planter
-FrogTape® ShapeTape™ in the Scallop pattern
-leftover latex wall paint
-small paint brush

And here is what I did:

But first, here is a before picture...

1. I took the FrogTape® ShapeTape™ and stuck it around the planter, making it as even as possible. You could whip out a ruler, but I just eyeballed it. Make sure the surface is clean before you stick the tape on. I then smoothed all of the edges down.
2. I got out my leftover paint and started applying thin coats. I waited for each coat to dry before doing the next one. It took about 3 thinly applied coats.
3. While the paint was still a bit tacky, I removed the tape. Since the pot has a smooth surface, I was afraid the tape might peel the paint off. It didn't :) I also ended up with a really nice clean edge!

FrogTape® products have the legendary PaintBlock® technology that somehow interacts with latex paint and creates a barrier. This ensures a super clean line, with a lot less bleeding. As soon as I saw the new ShapeTape™, I knew I would have to use one of the cute designs for a project. I think it performed really well- even on a super smooth surface like my planter. Not only do I love my fun scallop painted pot, I think my peace lily is really digging it, too. ;)

Starburst Candy Corn Party Favors! + FREE Printable

Good morning everyone! Today I wanted to share with you some Fall/Halloween party planning ideas using Straburst Candy Corn! I am excited to give these little party favors out to the neighbors as a "Happy Fall gift". I've been saving these baby jars, not really knowing what I would use them for. I thought they would be perfect for this project. 

To start the Halloween season off with a "Boo!" Starburst candy and entertaining guru, mom and TV  personality, Tori Spelling, have partnered to create a variety of fun treats and decorations for Halloween. This is my spin on Tori's Candy Corn party favors. (Pictured Below)

Here is a picture of my Candy Corn Party Favors!

Here is what you'll need:

-Baby food jars

-A couple bags of Starburst flavored Candy Corn 

-Small roll of burlap

-Mod podge

-Colored acrylic paint (red, orange, pink, and yellow)

-Orchard girl's FREE "Happy Fall Y'all" printable

Follow these Steps:

1. Paint the lids of your jars using the acrylic paint

2. Color code the candy and place in the jars

3. Using mod podge attach the FREE printable to the lid and apply a thin layer over the printable, as well.

4. Cut a thin strip of burlap and tie it around the jar (making a knot)

That's it! This project is super easy, fun, AND yummy. You better believe I sampled some of those candies, they're DELICIOUS!! :)
