Monthly Bills Organization Station + FREE Printable

NEW EDIT - 7//19/2013
Add the above items to compelete your Monthly Bills Organization Station

Happy Friday all! I hope your week has treated you well. I recently moved my desk from one part of the house to another, and have since been trying to get, and stay organized! Being a new stay at home Mommy with Adeline I have been taking over making sure the bills get paid and ready to be mailed off on time. (My husband took care of that before.) I wanted to create a sort of "Monthly Bills Station". Somewhere I can put the bills that need to be paid, and organize the ones that have already been paid.  Here is what I came up with. Also you can find our FREE Monthly Bills Printable HERE.

Above is a picture of my "Bill Payment Station" It sits on a file cabinet next to my desk so I can easily access it. Below is a breakdown of what you'll need for an organized "bills station."
(A tutorial on how to make the above No. 2 crate can be found HERE)

2. Stamps & Checks
3. Envelopes
4. Section / File Folder for Bills: To be Paid
5. Individual files for every family member to keep track of bills/receipts
Stamp and Checks Holder
This handy little folder I got in the target dollar bin section. I use it to hold my stamps and checks, for easy access and use.

I also found these in the Target dollar bins! I put a sticker with each of our names on them, to keep track of individual receipts or bills in case I need to go back and look at something/return something.

Life is so much easier organized isn't it? Being at home I've also realized how unorganized I was before. Even little projects like this help save a few minutes here and there. Stay tuned for more little organization tips and tricks!

  7. For the individual folders, what do you put in there? I'm assuming that the bills to be paid has the statement in it but then do you file that into the individual folders?
Thanks so much for posting this!

  8. Abigail, thanks for stopping by. Yes, I just have the statement in the "to be paid" folder then for the individual folders I've actually just been keeping receipts in there and paperwork I may need to access more often (for that person). Once I pay a bill I writer it on the tracker and file it in the cabinet.

  9. This looks like a great form to use. Most of our bills are the same from month to month, so I think I'll laminate this and use a dry erase marker for more sporadic bills (like the trash bill we only pay every 3 months) and to mark off when they're paid. Thanks for the free printable!!!
