Woodland Animal Baby Mobile

Good morning all. I have been working on this baby mobile for what seems like forever. Granted, I didn't do all of the work myself, but I've been coming back to it over and over again because I just haven't liked how it was turning out. Well, finally it's up and I'm vowing to not touch it anymore!
I wish I had a full tutorial with pictures for you guys, but this was a joint effort, and like I said, I just kept coming back to it. The only things I actually did were make the little felt trees, and then attach everything to the loom. My Mom and Mom-in-Law made all of the little animals!

For the animals:
-here is a link to an etsy store that sells the patterns that they used--aren't they ADORABLE?!
For the trees:
-cut out 2 matching triangles, and a little stump out of felt
-sewed around the tree, leaving the bottom open
-stuffed the tree, held the stump in place, and sewed it closed

For attaching to the loom:
-used the thinnest light green ribbon I could find to attach to each animal and one tree, I did this by sewing a few stitches through the ribbon and the felt
-tied 4 of the ribbons, with trees and animals, to the loom at alternating heights
-used 4 pieces of ribbon to hang the whole mobile, (did the step below this), tied about 1/3 of the way up the ribbon, and then did a 4 strand braid to link all the ribbons together
-added the fifth ribbon, with tree and animal, to the center where the ribbons holding the entire mobile are
-used a little ceiling hook to tie the mobile to

And that's it. Sorry it is a little confusing. You could really hang these any way that you would like. Once the baby is old enough, I will probably take these down and just use the animals as little toys.
Here's a picture of it hanging over our sweet baby to be's crib.
Don't mind the wrinkles in the wall tapestry. I ironed it before I hung it up, but somehow they all came back. I will probably end up tacking it in the bottom corners to pull it tight.

Have a great day, everyone! Don't forget to check back tomorrow so you can link up your recipes in our What We Eat Wednesday linky party.

We link to these parties.
